Choosing the right gift for the family and friends on your holiday gift list can be difficult—and expensive. If you’re struggling to find gifts, consider becoming crafty and creating one of these DIY holiday gifts. Not only are they personal, but they are also easy and inexpensive to create. Here is a guide on how to create these gifts.
Sharpie Quote Tea Pot. Give the tea lover in your life the ultimate gift—a personalized tea pot. This DIY holiday gift is easier than you might think. All you need is a blank tea pot, oil sharpies of any color, a cookie sheet, and an oven. Use the oil sharpies to write a number of the gift recipient’s favorite quotes or to draw a beautiful design on the tea pot. You can even let your children draw on it to make it truly special. Then, bake your tea pot in the oven at 150°F for 30 minutes to make the writing permanent. After it has cooled properly, you can then wrap it and give it as a gift!
Hot Chocolate Gift Basket. For a chocolate-loving family member or friend, create a hot chocolate gift basket. Choose a cute basket and fit it with holiday-themed mugs. Then, put hot chocolate powder mix in a decorative jar and some marshmallows in another. You can even include a bag of tea or something similar. Wrap the items as you please, making them look as festive as possible to truly get in the holiday spirit. This is a great, easy-to-make gift that your children can help you out with.

One of the busiest travel times of the year—both in the air and on the road—is around Thanksgiving. But no worries, we’re here to help your travel feel much easier! Here are some Thanksgiving travel tips for your holidays this year.
Plan, Plan, Plan
Travelling will be so much easier if you plan ahead of time. Buying plane or train tickets ahead of time is a good idea, especially for Thanksgiving. Keep an eye out for deals, which can pop up at random times.
The lighter you pack, the easier navigating the airport will be. Checking bags can take much longer than bringing a carry-on. Try to fit everything in your carry-on, but prepared to leave it planeside as the airline might have to store it under the plane when overhead space lacks.
Pick Your Days Carefully
The day before and the weekend after Thanksgiving are the busiest travel days of the year. Roads get more crowded and airline tickets get more expensive. So try to pick other travel days, like Tuesday to Monday.
If you’re roadtripping, bring maps in addition to your GPS. This will help you find different routes if you’re hitting traffic or construction.

“As we kick off our inaugural season back home in Los Angeles, we look forward to working with the team at Hyundai to engage our fans and their customers through unique content and activations all season long,” said Mike O’Keefe, Rams VP of corporate partnerships.
It’s been 21 years since resident of Los Angeles had a home football to cheer for in the NFL. The Hyundai-Rams partnership is the newest addition to Hyundai’s growing list of sponsorships. Other NFL teams include the Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins.

Every year, Hyundai Hope on Wheels awards a significant number of research grants to more than 30 hospitals across the United States. That number reached $7.5 million throughout the month of September, an impressive amount no matter what way you look at it. This year, Hyundai made a major donation in honor of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Hyundai Hope on Wheels awarded a $150,000 research grant to the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon. The award was presented by Hyundai dealerships to Dr. Lara Davis, an assistant professor in the Departments of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Medical Oncology.
The OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital was just one of 10 hospitals who received the $150,000 Young Investigator Grant. The grant will be used to improve the standards of care and expand the knowledge base surrounding pediatric cancer.
The award presentation also included a Handprint Ceremony where Portland-area cancer patients and survivors put their handprint on a large canvas in commemoration of their battle.
“Our mission at Hyundai Hope on Wheels is clear: End Childhood Cancer,” said Dave Zuchowski, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor America.

Hyundai Hope On Wheels (HHOW) is working with Hyundai dealerships around the country to award 18 hospitals grants for pediatric cancer research. The Hyundai Impact Grants, each of which total $50,000, is aimed at reducing childhood cancer. Money may be used for patient assistance, teen centers and play rooms, family support, educational initiative, and efforts to improve care.
Hyundai recognizes the devastating effects of childhood cancer, not only on those diagnosed with the disease, but also for parents, friends, and family. According to Yahoo Finance, HHOW will award $13 million in pediatric cancer grants in this year alone. Originally founded in 1998, the program has funded a total of $115 million in research to the Children’s Oncology Group and member institutions.
“Our mission at Hyundai Hope On Wheels is clear: end childhood cancer,” said Scott Stark, Chairman for HHOW. “By funding transformational research through our Impact Grants and celebrating the lives of the brave young cancer fighters at our handprint ceremonies, we move closer to our dream of a day without cancer.”
The Impact Grant is given during a handprint ceremony in July and August, which means many hospitals will be receiving Hyundai’s support this month. To commemorate these events, Hyundai is having the kids dip their hands in paint and press them against a white Hyundai Tucson. This not only serves as a reminder, but it also serves as a metaphor for the ongoing relationship between the automaker and cancer research.
The Hyundai Elantra is back and better than ever. This compact model comes with an especially quiet ride, smart design, and the latest in infotainment technology. Looking at the stylish and practical sedan, car buyers are realizing the potential of the Elantra now more than ever. It’s the perfect time to buy this great new model.
The 2017 Elantra design is one of its great new features, both inside and out. The contoured body is engaging and sleek, with aerodynamic curves that will grab attention on the highway. Plus, with distinct lighting, a wide hexagonal grille, and a range of bright color tones to choose from, the new Elantra doesn’t get any better.
The interior design is just as impressive as the exterior. “The Elantra’s cabin wholly embraces the art of simplicity without feeling overly boring or stale,” said the auto writers at KBB.com. “The steering wheel offers plenty of flexibility for a variety of body types, while the driver’s seat won us over with its 8-way power adjustment, ample thigh support and, unlike the Civic or Cruze, memory settings and 2-way lumbar support.”
The Hyundai Elantra is a compact model, but you wouldn’t guess from the interior. The passenger cabin is surprisingly roomy, with 14.4 cubic feet of cargo room—among the largest in its segment—as well as seating for five. You won’t want to leave the driver’s seat of this new model. Aside from the design, discover what else makes the Elantra so enjoyable by test driving this model for yourself.
