The new Tucson was recently named the one of the 10 Best Family Cars by Parents Magazine and Edmunds. Teaming together, Parents and Edmunds looked at a range of vehicles on the US market, paying special attention to convenience, safety, and entertainment. The Hyundai Tucson was judged to be one of the best models for families, beating out competition left and right.
According to Hyundai, the Tucson was specifically recognized for its spacious interior, with two-stage reclining seats and tons of legroom. In terms of ergonomics, you won’t be more comfortable than when you’re behind the wheel of the new Tucson. Plus, with its excellent visibility, great standard safety features, and a smooth ride, you won’t want to leave the driver’s seat.
“We understand parents look for vehicles that provide the top safety for their families and we took that seriously with the redesigned Tucson,” said Mike O’Brien, VP of corporate and product planning for Hyundai. “This recognition from Parents Magazine and Edmunds.com shows we are committed to providing better vehicles for our owners – through better safety, quality and design features that set us apart.”
The 2016 Hyundai Tucson also comes with added safety systems like Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Change Assist, Backup Warning Sensors, and more. Also named a Top Safety Pick+ by the IIHS, it’s easy to see why the Tucson was chosen as one of the 10 Best Family Cars.

The Good Design Awards are an annual program in which the Chicago Atheneum: Museum of Architecture and Design, in addition to the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, recognize excellence in design in a variety of areas. For the 2015 ceremony, the panel of judges awarded Hyundai Motors with five Good Design Awards, marking the company’s consistent quality of design.
The four vehicles recognized by the awards include the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq hybrid and electric vehicle, the Tucson SUV, all-new Elantra compact car, and the Santa Cruz concept debuted at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The fifth award earned by Hyundai was in recognition of the company’s “Sculpture in Motion” art installation.
Thousands of international brands, manufacturers, and firms were evaluated by the awards program’s jury of architects, cultural leaders, designers, and experts across several different markets and industries. However, Hyundai Motors stood out from the competition by securing five Good Design Awards, attesting to the company’s skillful development and application of unique design philosophies.
The owner’s manual we tend to keep in our car’s glovebox is full of useful information; unfortunately, it also tends to be hundreds of pages thick, making it inconvenient to use when we actually want that information.
That’s why Hyundai is introducing the Hyundai Virtual Guide, an augmented reality app that helps you answer all the questions you have about your 2015 Hyundai Sonata through your smartphone or tablet.
It’s not a traditional app, though. One of the ways you can get the information you need is by pointing your phone or tablet’s camera at the engine bay, and the app will overlay the location of items like the dipstick, battery, and air cooler. You can press the boxes representing these items to get even more information on how to attend to them. You can also do this with the interior and the gauge cluster.
We assume Hyundai will roll out the technology for more models than just the 2015 Sonata in the future. We expect all customers at Rex Perry Hyundai will soon be able to enjoy this awesome new technology!
The 2016 Hyundai Tucson has been named the International Family Vehicle of the Year by Road & Travel Magazine as the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, making it one of the most highly-desired family CUVs in the world.
The awards were determined by a jury of 12 experienced automotive journalists and editors from major publications like Edmunds.com, Consumer Guide Automotive, and AutoWeek. Vehicles were assed based on the emotional connection they create with consumers and how they hold up against their competition.
“The 2016 Hyundai Tucson CUV won in its category because it not only met but exceeded ICOTY’s criteria with its personable and modern styling, safety features and ease of handling, and with how well it resonated with young families,” said Courtney Caldwell, founder, International Car of the Year Award.
At Rex Perry Hyundai, the 2016 Tucson’s athletic exterior design, fuel-efficient drivetrains, and spacious, well-appointed interior has made it the pearl of the lot among families. Schedule a test drive today to check it out!
Focused on performance, design, and technology, Genesis hopes to redefine luxury, offering vehicles that are “human-centered” and attentive to driver and passenger needs. Ease of customer experience is also an important part of the Genesis brand.
According to Hyundai, Genesis brand models will forego the overload of technology found in most competitive car brands and will instead focus on delivering a customized experience to drivers. Genesis will provide optimal options to its customers and offer swift customer service for a totally streamlined, customer-friendly service.
A distinct brand identity is currently being developed in order to set the brand apart, including a redesigned winged emblem for a high-end look. Genesis models will all be named with a G and a number such as 70 or 80 in reference to their segment.
Hyundai is excited for the release of the Genesis vehicles and the global impact they will have on the luxury market with their alternative dedication not to excessive technology but to a customized service experience.
As the new title sponsor for the NFL, Hyundai is harnessing the passion of football fans in a new marketing campaign that launched just in time for the 2015 NFL Kickoff.
The all-new 2016 Tucson SUV available at Rex Perry Hyundai is featured in the first ad, “D-Gate,” a 30-second spot with a fun take on hardcore Arizona Cardinal fans and their sometimes unusual efforts to support their team. With its hands-free Smart Liftgate with additional cargo space, the Tucson is the perfect vehicle for bringing all your football celebration gear along—even an actual gate.
Hyundai also hosted the 96th season and drive toward Super Bowl 50, including festivities in New England and a concert in the San Francisco Bay Area.
“Our NFL campaign is all about conveying our love for football,” said Jacquelyn Kim, director, customer communications and promotions, Hyundai Motor America. “We want to showcase what passionate fans do #BecauseFootball, and include the role our vehicles can play in that.”
Following its annual tradition of coming to the SEMA Show in Las Vegas with a tuned Hyundai, Bisimoto has unveiled its latest creation: a 700+ horsepower 2016 Hyundai Tucson. It’s the crossover to end all crossovers—and the craziest part is that the ridiculous power figure comes from the same 2.4-liter four-cylinder you can find in the stock Tucson at Rex Perry Hyundai!
The engine did receive extensive modifications, of course. Bisimoto added a turbocharger as well as a special ECU, and strengthened all the internals to ensure the engine could take the added stress. The group also added a six-speed manual (you know, just to spice up the driving fun) and ensured that the crossover’s newfound performance was reflected in its looks.
The Bisimoto Tucson features a much larger front grille—to provide more air to the equally colossal intercooler—as well as 19-inch wheels with R-compound tires, four-corner air suspension, a four-point roll cage, and a racing seat. We’ll get even more details—like whether it is front or all-wheel drive—at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas!
